Master Radwan Saleh

Master Radwan Saleh, the master instructor at Canada Martial Arts, is a 9th Dan black belt in karate and a lifelong practitioner who has devoted his life to traditional karate. Originally from Egypt and now teaching in Edmonton, Alberta, he brings more than four decades of disciplined training, international competition, and teaching experience to every class.

He began his karate journey in 1977 in Egypt, committing himself from a young age to rigorous, daily practice. His dedication quickly set him apart, and in 1982 he earned a place on the Egyptian national team, representing his country on the international stage.

Over the course of his competitive career, he became a world champion and won African, Arab, and Mediterranean Sea championships multiple times. In recognition of these accomplishments, he received medals of honor from Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak in 1986, a national tribute to his excellence, discipline, and sportsmanship.

In addition to his achievements on the mat, he holds a master’s degree in Physical Education and Sports Science. This academic background allows him to blend traditional karate values with modern knowledge of biomechanics, conditioning, and safe, age-appropriate training for children, teens, and adults.

In 1982, he joined the Egyptian national karate team, representing his country on the international stage. This opportunity allowed him to test his skills against some of the strongest competitors in the world and to perform under the intense pressure of elite-level events.

Through hard work and unwavering focus, he became a world champion multiple times. He also earned the titles of African, Arab, and Mediterranean Sea champion on multiple occasions. These achievements reflect not only his technical excellence, but also his mental toughness and commitment to competing at the highest possible level.

Honors and Recognition
